I seam to fail lately at blogging, life has gotten really busy and as a result i have been forgeting things
With my meeting with sir we managed to set me some goals for me by week 8. These have been helping me alot with my research.
By Week 8
- Read Eric Ives- Anne Boleyn (particularily the section on Sources!) and Retha Warnicke- The Rise and Fall of Anne Boleyn Revisited
- Do online research on on Ives, Warnicke (Wikipedia, Google Scholar, Youtube, etc)
- The other Boleyn Girl
My Research Question is most likely going to be; “Was Anne Boleyn A Manipulator or a Victim?”

I never realised but i have used a variety of sources so far including:
~Karen Lindsay
~Reviews of Karen Lindsay
~Letters of Henry VIII
~Watching the “Other Boleyn Girl”
- Eric Ives
- Alison Weir
I am Finally thinking that my research is on track!!! A strange fealing!!
With my research question heading in the direction of what it is, I can see how my essay would be planned out.
Intro: Outline of who AB was, and the histographical issues around her including the debate between Ives and Warnicke of her date of birth etc. Introduce the main issue of if we can make a judgement if AB was a Manipulator of her era, controlling the world of men. Or was she a woman that was forced into a situation that she didn’t want to be in (evidence includes her want to marry guys whos name i can’t remember right now!!)
Body: This will baiscly disscuss the different perspectives of
Lindsay-
Weir-
Ives
Warnicke
As well as the discussion about which sources are more reputable, this no doubtable will lead into philosophical debate.. eg. E.H Carr, Ranke, etc
Conclusion:
Judgement on sources, philosophical debate and overall opinion if Anne Boleyn was a Victim or a Manipulator!!
More Post Later on all the stuff i said that i would post about but managed to forget to do.
More Later… Liz
